This Special Session will include papers on the biophysical/silvicultural, social, institutional, and economic aspects of tropical forest management (natural and planted stands) in the context of global climate change. Emphasis shall be paid on issues to either enhance or maintain the adaptive capacity of tropical forests for production and/or conservation objectives so they can fulfill their critical mitigation role. One of the goals of the Session is to produce a Special Issue in a peer reviewed international journal.
