"Continuing the discussion of trade and biodiversity, this session addresses a very contentious issue, namely how to ensure the equitable and efficient use of genetic resources. The session will also examine moves to liberalize trade in public services such as water, and how this can be reconciled with sustainable use of natural resources. Implications for IUCN and the conservation community will be highlighted."
